30 Weeks

Here's where things start to go downhill. Up until now, the belly is/was kind of cute, but that's about to change! At 30 weeks, I still feel good but am getting big, everywhere.
Looking forward to seeing many of you in Green Bay next weekend!

Encounters with Strangers

So last week (28 wks preg) I had my first encounter where a stranger acknowledged I was pregnant! A man working security at the airport, ahem, excuse me-a TSA Officer-randomly told me I am having a girl. And I'm pretty sure he hasn't been hanging out on this blog to see the overwhelming girl poll victory. Then, at the gym on Saturday, a woman asked when I was due. It was exciting-twice in one week! It's nice to know I must look pregnant and not just fat.

I went back to the doctor today, the four weeks since my last appointment sure did go fast. Anyway, the scale is officially my enemy. I mean, what would be happening if I weren't working out 5 days a week? I passed my gestational diabetes test, so that is good and the doctor thinks the baby is already in the head down position. It's back to the doctor every two weeks now!

Now that Jeff's portion of the nursery is taken care of (the rest-decorating-is up to me), he's decided to take on a few home improvement projects. Our handyman, Dan Rudolph aka Dad, is coming in April to help paint the living room. It's the last area of the house to need painting-yeah! This past weekend, Jeff got the silly idea that we really should tear out the linoleum and ugly plain tile in the guest bath, and I agreed. We went tile shopping and picked out some nice travertine for the bathroom floor and tub surround, granite for the vanity top and some decorative accent tiles as well. Something to keep us busy in April, and Dad busy if the painting goes too quickly.

Next week is week 30 and picture time again.

Nursery

The nursery is currently very brown. And not baby-like. But, once we add the green and white bedding and curtains along with some blue/pink accents, it should be great. I was very surprised how quickly the room filled up with just three pieces of furniture! We'll be leaving the walls unadorned until we know the gender-maybe that part of the decorating would be a good project for the grandparents when they visit?!

I do want this five foot giraffe for the wall, but to comes in 30 colors, so will wait to order it:
Here are some pictures:

Movin' Along

Not much new to report, but I cannot believe I've entered the third trimester already! I picture it as the time when waddling is inevitable, ice cream is consumed nightly before bed and clothes don't cover the belly. I'm just not there yet, I guess there is still something to look forward to! Due in less than three months, time is flying by.

Jeff did get the nursery ceiling painted white (not a fun job) and an accent wall painted chocolate brown. It looks great! This weekend a friend of his is visiting, little does he know he'll be helping to move furniture into the nursury... Jeff is going to fix some floor squeeks and hang the light this weekend too, I'll take some pictures soon.

We've have four days now in the 70's, so I've been taking advantage of the sun and warmth and getting out on the trail for some walk/jogs. I'm quite certain I look like an elephant running-big and clumsy-but it's great to be outside in early March!

Oh, and I went shopping last weekend for some 'jazzy' clothes, because Jeff thinks my wardrobe is boring (he's right). I bought two such shirts, but neither of them are maternity so we'll see how long they fit. One is actually supposed to be a dress, it's sad when some teeny-boppers' dress has become my maternity moo-moo!
