A Change in Plans

As many of you know, Grandma Sally's health did not improve and she passed away on April 20, 2010. So, on April 21 we boarded a plane (Nora's 9th roundtrip trip) and headed for Green Bay. We were quite excited to be aboard a non-stop flight from Denver to Green Bay-amazing!

After spending day after day at the hospital, Grandpa needed some play time when we arrived, and Nora was happy to oblige.

And then she found the tupperware cabinet...

and climbed inside the dishwasher!

She enjoyed the swing at the park next door to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
And also enjoyed the spring blossoms in the yard.
Nora also enjoyed reading books with Grandma.
She was infatuated with Millie, which was fine except that all Millie wanted to do was lick her! Nora was the lucky recipient of many 'kisses.'
We also visited with Great Grandma Irene
and Nora sat still just long enough for a photo with Great Grandpa Ed.

Lucky for us, Grandma Carol happened to be in Green Bay too during the same time we were! Nora didn't really want her picture taken,
but eventually gave in.
Though the circumstances were unfortunate, we did have some good quality family time in Green Bay.

So besides Green Bay, what has been going on? Well, Nora got a new sun hat and modeled it one night.

We've been spending time outside when the weather permits, and Finn was nice enough to let Nora ride in his car. Already riding in boys' cars...

Nora is working hard on tooth number five, and just this morning came down with her first illness (an ear infection-what else?) We've been so lucky that she has been healthy! Construction has started on our basement, so in a few more weeks Nora will have another space to explore and cause trouble in!

Helper around the House

This picture belongs toward the end of the post, but I accidentally loaded it out of order.

It's been a while since the last post; Nora has been a busy girl, helping out with everything around the house and exploring many new things.

She likes to play in the dishwasher-on the door, not inside of course.

She also likes to crawl around carrying toys in her mouth, you know, sort of like a puppy.

And is a big help with the laundry too...

Nora still loves bathtime, but it has become challenging recently. Rather than sitting and playing in the water, she prefers to stand which makes us nervous and doesn't get her very clean!

Nora has discovered the wine bottles in our buffet. But, she thinks that the only way to get to them is through the maze of chairs under the dining room table. Why go around when you can go through?

Last weekend Nora and I traveled to Minneapolis for a baby shower for Emily. Nora was infatuated with Lona, the great dane. Lona was so patient and gentle with Nora's constant talking, reaching and crawling toward her.
Nora's soon-to-be-cousin Koski was nice enough to borrow her a lot of his baby gear. She tested out his high chair

and his stroller during a walk around Lake Calhoun (picture at the top of the post). Uncle Mike took such good care of Nora a couple of times; now he's prepared for what is soon to come!

Nora sat in a 'big girl' highchair for the first time out for dinner on Saturday.

Aside from all this fun, we're thinking about Grandma Sally and hoping her health improves soon!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from Nora!

Though there was no hiding of the Easter basket, special treats or easter egg hunt, Nora did get to play with some plastic eggs.

In addition to a visit from the Easter Bunny, Uncle Scott dropped in for a night this weekend too!
