January

Well, it's January and we've been trudging through the winter days. Nearly every day this month Jeff or I or both of us have been traveling. Nora has been passed back and forth between us and is doing great.

She's always so helpful; even climbing up the ladder with me to help clean!

One snowy Sunday morning, we went out for breakfast. Nora had jelly. Yes, mostly just jelly that she licked off her pancakes.
Nora has been enjoying suitcase rides!
Maybe a budding baker??

Last weekend we spent some time in Breckenridge. Nora and Rocco did their best to stay warm in all the snow.
It has been warm the past few days so on those days, Nora and I walk home from daycare. She decided to check out the cat on the bench outside daycare.

And before leaving daycare, Nora modeled on the foam blocks. She was just sitting there, I had to take a picture.

Nora and I are heading to Florida on Feb. 5. We'll be cheering on the Packers from there; don't worry- Grandma has bought an appropriate outfit for Nora to wear!

Christmas in Utah

Ok, so here is the long overdue third installment of the Christmas mini-series: Christmas in Utah! Between the pictures we took and those from Emily's camera, there were so many to choose from-just the thought of this post was overwhelming.

When we left off last time, it was the afternoon of Christmas Day and we were piling into the car for a 7 hour drive to Ogden, Utah. Much to our surprise, Nora was a great traveler!! Here, she reads an animal book while wearing her party shades.

We had several photo shoots over the course of several days. Here are some of the winners.

I just love the expression on Nora's face on this one!
Croix is soooo close to crawling...

Nora's all puckered up and going in for the kill. Problem is, she toppled Croix over!
Loooove this one.

Time for breakfast...
Nora took some time out and worked on the laptop Santa brought her.
It wouldn't be a trip to Utah without lots of outside time.

I just love this one too.
Nora eating snow-doesn't it just look cold?

Nora with Grandma and Grandpa after skiing.

She even helped Grandma carry her poles.

We took the time to check out downtown Ogden one day
and Nora posed for a pretty picture.

Grandpa read books to Nora

while Grandma did her best to hold both babies as often as possible!

Sadly, we had to leave for home half a day early due the threat of a major storm. It may have been several days later before we could have gotten home otherwise! While in Utah, Nora also got to meet her great aunt Barb for the first time. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to share.
On the way home Nora kept occupied by listening to some tunes and was once again a good little traveler.

Whew, it was quite a holiday season. The fun didn't end here, after being home for one whole day we loaded up the car again and headed to the moutains of Colorado for New Year's Eve. Once again, the Emrick family was nice enough to include us in their vacation as they have for the past several years. The weather was freezing, but we still had a great time visiting with Brian, Anne and the rest of the family.

Christmas at Home

Nora and I arrived home from Green Bay a few days after Jeff, on Dec. 22-just in time for Christmas festivities at home! On the 23rd, the Bergs were nice enough to have us over for dinner. Nora was proficient at gift opening by this time.

Nora and Sawyer decided the dog bed was a nice place to rest-YUCK!!!
Sawyer, Rocco and Nora-cuddling in their jammies.
On Christmas Eve, the Shaws invited us over for dinner (yes, I got out of cooking both nights I was home...) Finn and Nora were intriged by something downstairs-maybe Santa?

The kids had fun playing all night-Nora, Lily, Sophie and Finn.
We sprinkled Reindeer Dust in the yard so they and Santa could find the house; good thing we live right across from them so they could find our house too!
On Christmas morning, Nora checked out her new wheels.
She got a new bath towel and for whatever reason really liked it!
Because we didn't have any snow, Nora got a ride in her new sled in the basement.
It was a brief stop at home, but we really did enjoy the time with friends celebrating the holiday. The afternoon of Christmas Day we piled in the car and drove 7 hours to Jeff's parents house to celebrate some more!
