Florida in March

In preparation for time on the beach, Nora spent the day before we left for Florida digging in the dirt near our house.

After surviving a 4 hour flight to Orlando, we lucked out and had an extra seat for Nora during the 30 minute flight to Ft. Myers. We all enjoyed a little extra personal space!
Once arriving, we quickly settled into a routine of going to the beach in the morning then back to the house for naptime and a dip in the pool (followed by happy hour of course). Once again, Nora loved the beach, the ocean, the pool and all the extra attention from Grandma (Nanny), Grandpa (Papa), Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We had fantastic weather in the 80s every day!
Our first morning on Sanibel Island.

This picture is out of order, it was actually taken within 30 min of arriving at the house. We headed to the pool immediately!

Nora didn't build this structure but did a great job of tearing it down.

Modeling Mommy's sun hat.
Jeff and I left for 2 days and took a boat to Key West. It was a nice little getaway, and Nanny and Papa did some fun things with Nora. Unfortunately, I can't get seem to get any of those photos to post here, but maybe I'll be able to do a seperate post later with those pictures.

My grandparents, Nora's great-grandparents arrived partway through our visit. Great Grandma and Nora combed for shells.

4 generations of ladies.

This day, Nora just couldn't make it home before falling asleep.

But she rebounded after a catnap!

Nora liked jumping into the water. Well, I guess it was more of a lean...
Before dashing off to the airport, we snapped a few pictures.

At the airport, Nora pranced around with her purse and milk looking cute as ever.

We're already looking forward to our next trip to Ft. Myers next year, the week when so fast!

March 10

It was a beautiful Thursday here in Colorado, 70 degrees and sunny! After daycare we headed to the park with our favorite outside friends, snacks and drinks in hand (or in the wagon).

Nora has taken a special interest in this hat this week, refusing to wear her other one and insisting on wearing it even when not necessary. If it were worn properly folded over, the excess at the top would go away. And if weren't too small, it wouldn't slide off her head. But, it makes her happy so who are we to argue!?

She found a stray tricycle and hopped on.

She also found a stray cozy coop and hopped in. You'll never know what you'll find at the park...

Most importantly, she found Lily-her favorite. Nora can say Lily's name perfectly and asks for her constantly, every time she looks out the front windows of our house and sees her house.

Outside all Month

I apologize that it has been so long since the last update. But, there hasn't been much going on to 'report' or take photos of, resulting in a pretty boring set of pictures below! Last week I was gone on a business trip for 6 days, so Grandma Carol (Nanny in Nora-speak) came to stay. I heard they had a great time hanging out for four days and I enjoyed my trip much more knowing Nora was so well cared for and Jeff wasn't stressed out!

Who needs a teaspoon when you can eat breakfast with a wooden spoon?

We went to the Butterfly Pavillion one afternoon a few weekends ago; Jeff and Nora posed on a bench.

Nora ran wild in the play area.

The majority of our time since returning from Florida has been spent playing outside every chance we get with whatever friends (usually the Shaw family) are around. Every weekend and most afternoons after daycare we can be found outside. Nora's favorites are chalk and bubbles-both of which get her good and messy!

Next week we'll all be back in Florida soaking up the sun!
