Ooops

Well, it's been two weeks since my last post, which means this blog is due for an update. Problem is, I haven't taken a single picture since the last post! And Jeff, well, he rarely pics up the camera. Perhaps all this hot weather is getting to us.

How about looking at the pictures we had taken by a photograper a month ago? The password is 'Koski2011'

Or, check out this video from the pool a while back:

Perhaps this weekend will present some picture worthy moments. On another note, Nora continues to talk a lot and foster her independence. She really likes to eat pop-ca-ca-ca-ca which would translate to popsicles. In case you were wondering, the slow melt popsicles don't melt slow enough... She's beginning to show interest in her scoot bike, which makes Jeff very happy, and she has some new favorite books. We couldn't bear to read the board books from the past two years any longer so we got out some more advanced stories. Currently, we read 'The Hungry Catapillar' sevaral times a day and 'Green Eggs and Ham' is her most favorite, she calls it 'Saaam' (if you haven't read it recently, the main character is Sam-I-Am, hence her name for it). She has also taken to our Ipad, knows where all 'her' apps are and can operate it on her own! Watching Sesame Street podcasts on my phone is no longer good enough, she demands the Ipad.

I guess that's all for now, hopefully more pictures to come soon!

Fourth of July, 2011

Isn't this just the sweetest picture my mom took of Nora in the Vail village?

Mom and Dad arrived on a Thursday evening for a week long trip to thunderstorms. This didn't stop Nora from prancing around outside in the backpack Nanny brought for her-she loves that thing!

Friday morning we left for a few nights in Vail where Nora, no surprise, enjoyed the pool.

She also loved the gondola. 'My gondola,' well it didn't exactly come out gondola...but we got the picture.

She was willing to watch the horses, but wasn't interested in riding them. She is her mother's daughter after all.

Back in Westminster for the 4th of July, we had to visit the pool (twice that day) to stay cool.

Getting ready to watch the neighborhood parade.

Watching the parade. You see, nobody (except us) watches the parade because everyone in the neighborhood decorates bikes, scooters, wagons, unicycles and even motorized beer coolers to ride in the parade!

Following the parade, everyone gathers at the central park.
And who doesn't want a bomb pop?

Nora's big excitement (since she was sleeping for the fireworks) was stomping on snap-its.

A visit to the zoo toward the end of their visit.

Aside from playing with Nanny and Papa, we're just carrying on with summer activities. The pool is a common occurance.

Running in the sprinkler with neighbors is also fun!

And on rainy days/evenings, we're all still outside...guess who's behind the princess umbrella?
