September

Nora has to wear her backpack every day to daycare. And don't even think about leaving without her sunglasses!

Nora and Sophie, playing in the dirt.

Ever helpful in the kitchen, Nora did a great job of peppering our salads. We both coughed through dinner.

Last weekend, I left town for five days. Wedding dress shopping with Claire was SO fun, four days of a work conference was not. Nora stayed busy though, cheering on the Packers with Sawyer

and riding through the dirt with Finn. Somehow, they both got interested in and much faster on their bikes while I was gone!

Once I got home, we had a picnic at a park for dinner one night with Uncle Scott who is visiting for a week. For the first time, we made use of the plastic potty that we now keep in the back of the car. Nothing like a cheese stick while peeing!

Sunday morning we went to Boulder for a hike. Nora tried on the backpack she'd ride in (briefly) later on.

Nora and Uncle Scott, she looks so tiny!

We stumbled upon an art exhibit that Nora found quite interesting.

Wednesday we leave for Minneapolis for five days where Jeff will run his first marathon! Looking forward to seeing family, friends and cheering Jeff on.

More Family Visitors!

We had a great Labor Day weekend. Nanny and Papa Koski came to visit for 5 full days, and Uncle Mike and cousin Croix came for 4 days. We had a terrific low-key visit with lots of laughs. Unfortunately, I didn't take nearly enough pictures.

Nora was very happy to wake up and find Nanny and Papa were here! Plus, she enjoys modeling her underwear.

Horsie rides on Grandma's leg.

Trips to the pool, the park and bubbles, what could be better?

Breakfast with Croix is better than breakfast alone.

Fun in Frisco. We spent Saturday night in Beaver Creek and stopped for breakfast in Frisco on the way up.

Sunday morning we went for a hike.

All that riding on Grandpa's shoulders tired Nora out!

On the way home from the mountains, Nora serenaded us with her current favorite song (which, but the way, has now changed to If You're Happy and You Know It or 'Happy Know It' as she calls it).

A few pictures before Mike and Croix had to depart.

The trip ended with books

and ice cream-the perfect finish to fun long weekend!

On Tuesday morning, Nora was very sad to wake up to an empty house. She asked 'Where Nanny go? Where Papa go? Where Mike go? Where Croix go? Where Daddy go?' and each time I had to tell her they went bye-bye. To help her forget about the empty house and looming return to daycare, we went to Starbucks and Einstein's for breakfast.

Now we're busy working on potty training. It's going pretty well and Nora has very few accidents. However, there are a lot of false alarms which aren't a big deal when we're hanging out at home or around the neighborhood. However, tonight we ventured out in public wearing underwear for the first time. We were gone for 3 hours, to two stores and out for dinner. I took Nora to the bathroom (because she said she had to peepee) a total of 10 or 11 times (I lost count) and only twice did she actually go. It was a really relaxing dinner for me... Tomorrow she is wearing underwear to daycare for the first time. I've packed 3 extra outfits and 6 pairs of underwear...that should get her through the day, right?
