Happy Easter

So close!  All but one photo uploaded with the proper orientation this time!

Loving all the smiles the past two weeks!
Easter Sunday started out as a holiday with no plans, but ended up to be such a fun day.  One thing just led to another...
Nope, no Easter basket in there...

Found it!

Who needs candy to enjoy their Easter basket? (We saved it for the forthcoming egg hunt)
We did plan brunch with Kerry and Paul at a restaurant in our neighborhood followed by an egg hunt in our yard for the girls.
At brunch with Ellie

The basket is filling up.

Ellis got an egg too!

Since the weather was so nice, the Shaws got out their slip and slide!

Nora and Finn, warming up.
Doug and Diane (more neighbors) hosted an impromtu egg hunt in their yard, originally intended for their two grandchildren, but ended up including seven extra kids!
Who needs an easter dress and basket?  Finn's shoes, a bucket and a bathing suit are fine.

Ben, Nora and Finn
It ended up being a fun day outside with friends.  You never know what the weekends will turn into in this neighborhood!

Other than that, it has been life as usual.  Ellis is awake more during the day now, but continues to wake up just once or twice during the night for feedings.  He is really getting big, any guesses on his two month weight?  He's getting too long for the 3 month sleepers already!  He has also started smiling a lot more and cooing the past few weeks, so fun.

Other than getting cold, Ellis enjoys bathtime.

First visit from the ice cream truck this year.  Only $3 for a fudgesicle :)  And they always come right before dinner...

Munching on bacon before dinner one night

So grown up.

Fairy wings!

Sitting by the 'little lady' outside daycare.
You may notice all the bibs-Ellis spits up a lot.  This makes for lots of laundry (his and mine); appearently he takes after Uncle Bruce in this regard.
Tummy time. He actually likes it!

This weekend we are planning to smoke some pork butt and have the neighbors over to enjoy it.  Next weekend Mike, Emily and Croix are coming for a visit which should be a lot of fun!  Life just marches on, luckily Ellis is portable right now and just goes with the flow!

Blogger is annoying, and a visit from Claire and Jason

Oh no, Blogger is messing up our blog!!
As mentioned, I've been having problems with photos rotating.  I did some internet research and found this is a common complaint yet no solution exists.  So I apologize in advance if you need to see the chiropracter after this post-send the bill to Google Blogger!
Smile

Try again

Getting so big
I failed to mention in the last post that at four weeks, Ellis weighed in at 10lb, 1oz-Nora's nine week weight!!!  He's in the 55% for weight and 95% for height having grown another 1/2 inch.  He doesn't get his height from me...

We had a fun weekend with Auntie Claire and Uncle Jason.  The weather was amazing, around 80, so we spent most of our time outside.  It would have been nice to get out for a hike but until Ellis can hold his head up, we'll continue to visit lots of parks!

Loving the color block dress and 'clutch' aka Claire's wallet

Checking eachother out

So stylish in Jason's Blue Blockers!

At the park

Nap time for all

EVERYONE gets a turn holding the pacifier

Riding a cow at the ice crean shop

The perfect sized scoop

Time to say goodbye :(
Lots of Easter pictures to share soon!

Just another march day...

After 3 weeks, Ellis' belly button 'stump' fell off and he was ready for his first bath.

All clean!

Almost caught a smile.
The Shaw's have two motorized vehicles that Nora loves.  She is such a daredevil, only wanting to ride the motorcyle in the fast gear, and even took both hands off the steering wheel once!  I put an end to that one...
Here she is in action:

Ellie and Nora, two of a kind!

Another attempt to catch a smile.
The weather here has been unbelievable.  Since when can kids run through the sprinkler in March??

I also intended to upload pictures from Claire and Jason's visit.  But I'm still having problems with photos rotating...I'll try to figure it out soon.
