Biking

I failed to mention that Nora has learned to ride a bike...with no training wheels.  A couple of weeks ago, she became increasingly interested in other kids riding pedal bikes and wanted to give it a try.    Not surprisingly, she picked it up in a day!  Since then, she has gotten even better, but I only hoave video from day one.  She is always keeping us on our toes and may keep Band-aid brand in business!

Family Pictures

While Michael and Emily were visiting, we had Emily take a few pictures of our newly expanded family.  I would have posted them earlier, but I wanted the Moms to see them for the first time in their Mother's Day cards!

I took a few pictures of the kids.

My favorite picture of Ellis, if only it were turned lenthwise...
Ellis was a great traveler and all flights were on time to Green Bay!  Once there, more family pictures!  It was a long time to be away from Nora, but the time went quickly and Claire's bridal shower was a success.

While we were gone, Jeff made sure that Nora had plenty of fun depsite the bad weather.  She had playtime with Rocco and Sawyer as well as Ellie (below).  She also went to happy hour and Mother's Day shopping!

Playdoh on the carpet!?

Ready for school!
Last weekend was busy, Saturday was spent running errands and finding treasures at our neighborhood garage sale.  Doesn't every child need a full sized jumpy castle for the basement?  It barely fits in the playroom downstairs, but Nora sure does love jumping in it!  It was a great way to keep her occupied Saturday while it rained and I'll have to take pictures soon.  Sunday morning Jeff ran a half marathon in 1:30:10!!!  We also watched Nicole run the full marathon and had a great brunch afterward, all before noon!  How did I not take any pictures?

This is my last week of maternity leave, so it's back to work and off to daycare for Ellis.   Where have the past three months gone?  Well, I'm sure I've done over 100 loads of laundry...  So much to do yet this week, update the blog; check!

More fun with visitors

The neighborhood kids hung out under this umbrella for hours one morning recently.  Snacks, shade and friends!  Even Ellis napped in the shade for a little while.

Jeff decided it was that time of the year to smoke some pork shoulder.  16lbs in the smoker before breakfast!  We had 11 adults, 6 kids and 3 babies over to enjoy it later that evening.

Enjoying a Spongebob Square Pants popsicle from the ice cream truck.  Fruit punch and cotton candy flavor, with gumballs-is this really necessary???
Ellis went for his two month appointment this week.  Our big boy is still big-12lb 13oz (70%) and 24 1/2 inches long (98%).  This is approximately the size Nora was at FIVE months!

Micheal, Emily and Croix spent last weekend with us.  We stayed busy visiting parks, going for runs and just enjoying eachothers' company.  With three kids demanding attention, there was never a dull moment.

Cheers!  Out for dinner in Boulder.

Going for a run and visiting the park.  Jeff got to push this load :)

Croix looks...disgruntled...

Fun before bed.

Next up, we'll spend a relaxing weekend at home before Ellis and I fly to Green Bay for a long weekend.  Nora and Jeff will have five long days of bonding time!
