Wedding Weekend

As expected, our weekend in Chicago to celebrate Claire and Jason’s wedding was busy, and a blast! Jeff’s parents came along too to spend time with the kids, some much needed help while Jeff and I were enjoying the wedding festivities. We couldn’t have done it without them! Logistically, it was challenging to get around the city as needed but everything worked out in the end.   Sorry for these initial pictures taken with my iPhone; Blogger just can't seem to rotate them :(

Loves to chew on that giraffe

Thursday night we relaxed at Claire and Jason’s house.

Loves to chew on that napkin too...and anything else he can get his hands on!

A little yoga to re-energize!
We spent a hot Friday morning at the zoo, seven adults and one stroller following around one three-year-old child!

Everyone enjoying the seal show

Thank goodness for the glass!

Inside the big tractor.

Ellis enjoyed the zoo also, he was loving the ceiling fans :)

Friday night at rehearsal dinner:

Saturday morning began early for the ladies, Claire got her hair/makeup done at 7 a.m. and the rest of us followed. We arrived at the venue around noon, Jeff and the guys a bit later, Nora at 1:45 and Ellis around 4:00. This explains why we have so many pictures of Nora and so few of Ellis :) After looking at the pictures we took, I am disappointed that we left Ellis’ bib on for most of them-luckily it’s a cute (and matching) bib, but unfortunately you can barely see the vest he was wearing. Also, I realized there is only one picture of me and I’m not even standing up! Too bad we don’t have a family photo either, or one of Jeff and I-good thing the photographer was there! There was just so much happening, I guess we couldn’t remember everything.

Hair done, but the clothes need some work

Cool as a cucumber!

Maybe my favorite pic of the weekend??

So Sweet

Practicing her big walk...notice the groomsmen watching in the background?

The one and only pic of me, and I love it!

All the grandparents, love it!!

What a fantastic wedding and event overall! Nora was the greatest flower girl, proudly marching down the aisle and even behaving during the ceremony. And who knew she was such a dancer? The music started and she was wild-dancing with everyone in sight, twirling and jumping; so cute!

We are so excited for the new Mr. and Mrs.!!  Here are two preview pictures, courtesy of the photographer (who took 4000+ photos that day!)  Based upon these, I cannot wait to see more.

Sunday morning we somehow got checked out of our hotel and to Bruce and Meghan's house, where we visited and relived the fun from the night before.  Then it was back to the airport for the long journey home, whew!
Nora had so much fun playing with second cousins Eli and Charlie-thanks for coming over guys!!

Fun at the Park

A little Saturday morning outing to a park-fun for all!

'I'm doing like the Olympics' Nora said. Ellis just giggled the whole time.

Nora's first haircut!

Yes, it's been over three years, but Nora's hair has never even been trimmed. I took her to a kiddie place, hoping she'd be more comfortable and have a better experience.

Right about the time she was finished, she came out of her shell.

The finished product-a braid with sparkles!
