Florida in February

Nora and I headed to Florida without Jeff this time around; he was stuck at home working. But, the three of us will fly back together in March! I was not sure about 3 1/2 hours on a plane alone with Nora, but she was great! Much better than the last solo flight we had.

In the Denver airport, we found some interesting art to play on/in.
As soon as we landed in Ft. Myers and found Grandma and 'Papa', Nora was off like a flash, burning off some airplane energy, purse in hand of course!
As soon as we got to the house, the first thing Nora did was walk all around looking for Millie saying 'puppy puppy puppy'. Millie has never been at the house in Florida, but Nora must have remembered that when she saw Grandma and Grandpa last in Green Bay, there was a puppy around!
Nora enjoyed some nearly naked time that night, cuddling with Grandpa
and reading books with Grandma. She insisted upon sitting on a pillow while being read to, I think they do this at daycare. I'm not sure what happened to my picture of her lounging on the couch getting graham cracker crumbs everywhere.
She was pretty happy the following morning to have Cheerios, just like at home.
And sitting outside wasn't bad either! Turns out her hair gets curly (like her mama's) when it's humid.

Once dressed, in her very appropriate outfit for the day, we headed to a huge park with multiple play areas. Nora went 'weeeee' down the slide many times.
And took a stroll with Grandma and Grandpa. I was also wearing Packer attire, we got lots of comments at the park that day!
Nora needed to rest up for the evening; it was going to be a big one!

We managed to sneak in a dip in the pool before the Superbowl party started, the water was in the upper 80s! Clearly this picture was taken before Nora found it funny to dump buckets of water on my head.

Nora had a lot to cheer about early on in the game,

but had some concerns during the third quarter.
In the end, everyone was happy!
Day 2 was a beach day, I wasn't sure what Nora would think of the cool water or the sand. Turns out, she loved it all.

There was more swimming after naptime that day.
Day 3 was a little cool for the beach and swimming, so we headed back to the park where Nora admired the water park, but it was too cold to go in.

The remainder of that day we had to occupy our time by shopping at the outlet mall and going out for ice cream :)
Day 4 was warmer again, and another beach day. Nora loves lotion and gladly helped Grandpa get ready for the beach.
Another day, another beach.
Yummmm, sand.
This beach had lots of seashells, perfect for making seashell and sand soup...

Nora loved splashing in the waves, and when they weren't coming fast enough she'd say 'more more more'!
Our stay at the beach was cut a little bit short when I got attacked by a bird who thought he deserved my sandwich as I was bringing it to my mouth... Lesson learned, don't sit alone on the beach and eat-be sure there is a crowd of people.
After a nap, back at home and free of seagulls, we headed back into the pool. I just can't get enough of this picture of Nora modeling a swimsuit. Oh, and she did learn a new word while in FL-swimsuit :)

Nora enjoyed Happy Hour outside as much as the rest of us.

Before leaving for home, Nora colored on some seashells we borrowed from the beach the day before. Trust me, nobody will miss them! And then it was back home, we didn't have a direct flight this time and flew 1 hr to Orlando, then 4 hrs to Denver. Once again, Nora shocked me and was just perfect on the plane. She was very happy to be reunited with Dada once we got home!
