The first weekend of October, we loaded up and boarded another plane for Chicago. We'd had some experience with this... Jeff and Auntie Claire had been planning for this weekend for months, putting in countless hours training for the Chicago Marathon.
Before marathon day arrived, we spent a morning at the Children's Museum aka Paradise for a 3-year-old!
| Princess bowling |
| No longer a princess, washing the car... |
Nora wasn't the only one having fun, they had little activity areas for non-walkers in each room!
| Driving a safari jeep! |
| What you can't see is how Nora was barking like a dog the whole time :) |
We spent the next morning at the greenmarket, a little chill setting in!
| Helping Meghan carry her purse |
When marathon day arrived, the spectators had an ambitious and well thought out plan to see Jeff and Claire as often as possible. Between walking, running and moving via train, we stayed busy and did see them each at least three times!
| Cruising at mile 4.5! |
| Still smiling at mile 25!!! |
| Waiting patiently early in the day |
| Team Go Hyland/Koski |
Marathon viewing was exhausting! Nora and Ellis both snoozed on the train back to Bruce's house.
So proud of our Marathoners!!
A relaxing brunch the following morning, followed by a fun trip to the park.

| Who is having more fun? |
It was such a great weekend full of family time, not to mention about success all around for Jeff and Claire!
Back at home, Nora loved being buried in th leaves. Fall is well underway in CO, but we're still enjoying 70+ degree weather and loving it!
